Isabelle Heifetz Ament, B.A.

Graduate Student


Isabelle Ament is a second-year PhD student in the University of Pennsylvania’s Biology Graduate Group. In 2017, she received her BA from Mount Holyoke College, where she studied Biology and Physics. Subsequent years spent working at Johns Hopkins University instilled in her a passion for studying mechanisms of neurodegenerative diseases. Her interests focus on the relationship between m6A and endogenous retroviral modulation in disease. Outside the lab, Isabelle enjoys hiking and taking art history classes at the Barnes.
