
Sara Akbar, M.Res.
Research Technician
Sara Akbar is a research technician for the Center for Computational and Genomic Medicine at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. She received her Bachelor of Science Honours (BSc (Hons)) degree in Biomedical Sciences from Royal Holloway, University of London in 2019, followed by her Master of Research (MRes) in Biological Sciences in 2021. During that time, she used phosphorodiamidate morpholino oligomers (PMOs) to increase RNA editing efficiency, work that was published in the Journal of Neuroscience Methods. She is currently interested in how A to I editing can affect different neurological disorders.
