Jared Lynch

Graduate Student


Jared Lynch is a first-year Genetics & Epigenetics PhD student in the Cell and Molecular Biology program at the University of Pennsylvania. He received his B.A. in Biology from Bowdoin College in 2024 where he researched mitochondrial DNA sequence variation as a predictor of thermal tolerance in the invasive European green crab. His current interests focus on RNA-based therapeutic approaches to genetic diseases. Outside the lab, Jared enjoys folding origami and uncovering all possible Geocaches on his hikes.
