
Hong Zhang, Ph.D.
Hong Zhang is a Research Specialist at the Center for Computational and Genomic Medicine. He earned his Ph.D. in molecular Biology from China Agricultural University. Previously, he worked in the Gene Therapy Program at the University of Pennsylvania, where he focused on AAV- and CRISPR-based gene therapies for genetic diseases, particularly gene editing for Ornithine Transcarbamylase (OTC) deficiency and translational research. His primary interest lies in understanding the molecular mechanisms underlying human genetic disorders and exploring novel strategies for their treatment. Currently, his work primarily focuses on investigating RNA splicing mutations.
